Born and raised in the Calgary area, I went to high school at St. Gabriel the Archangel in Chestermere, AB.

After high school, I pursued a post-secondary career in sports journalism at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, N.B. for two years while playing on the St. Thomas University Tommies men’s soccer team.

After two years at STU, I transferred back home to the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary continuing my journalism and soccer career for the SAIT Trojans.

Work experience:

In 2020, I started working as a retail employee at World of Soccer, a local soccer store in Calgary. I have been with World of Soccer for the past five years and couldn’t have asked for a better first job!

That same year, I also joined 1UP Soccer as a player in their academy. During my playing journey with 1UP, I started as a volunteer junior coach, which didn’t last long as I was given a role as a paid advanced group coach.

This past January, during 1UP’s massive restructure, I was given three new roles, Director of School Programs, Director and Creative Apparel Lead and Lead Writer for 1UP Soccer. I have continued to grow and expand my roles ever since.

During my first year at SAIT, I was approached by the SAIT Trojans media team for a paid position writing weekend recaps covering all of Trojans sports. I’ve written over 30 articles on the Trojans website.
